CoD4 is disappointing - Page 3

Play the multiplayer. You'll love it.

And I adored the singleplayer. It was flawless; had the right amount of just about everything and the intensity was off the charts. Right as you get a bit bored assaulting enemies with an M4 you get a Sniper off in the hills; right after you look through the eyes of a President that is assassinated after riding through town (so, so realistic) you get to man the turret in a tank. What more can you ask for?

Yep!

CoD4 is pretty much made for multiplayer. The single player is basically just an introduction to the game. I just used SP to get a feel for the controls and bind the appropriate keys before jumping into the MP world.

I honestly didn't care for it to much either, i thought my friends overhyped it a bit.

no they are not an m16. but there is an m16a4 which is a newer version with a different kind of rail. Also in real life they shoot semi/full.

Just like in counterstrike where the bold on the ak47 is on the wrong side. Every game is going to have it problems.

but i think for the average person the guns are satisfactory.

i'm finding the multiplayer pretty boring now. It was fun at first, the level and unlocking guns/perks/specials or w/e gave multiplayer a sense of accomplishment, espcially the red tiger weapons. But same game play everywhere, same camping spots, same queerish moving patterns/jumping while shooting, same spam grenade spots, and most of all same maps. (whoodeedoo 4 new maps coming soon...) Head shooting noobs with the m16/m1014 was fun at first but meh.

Great game btw i just out grew it. Sorta same way i got bored with CS. mabye some freaky shooting alien shiz for me now.

PS. i always found the guns to be too strong/accurate. But thats just me.

Hmm ... Seems your asking alot for 50 bucks... I and many others thought the game was great... You could have spent the time you wasted writing all the gripes about it playing it online.. but to each their own.. too much negetivity around here lately...\\

And about the sounds being off.. It's a video game... NOT REAL LIFE.

while u are correct about the sp mode, cod4 seems to be at its best in mp mode with a lot of customizable features like maps, games modes, etc. right now in barbados at least 5 gaming clans were formed based on this game alone, 2 of which have decided to play this game solely. the others moved onto other games (Crysis, Frontlines, UT3, Vegas 2) but still play this one at times
