Question about the 9800GX2

Thread Starter
Is the 9800GX2 SLI on a single card?

eg :

will it have the same problems as a normal SLI setup? , if a game only supports a single gpu , will the 9800GX2 act as a single gpu? or a single card etc?

Yup it still has it's pitfalls like all SLI configurations.

If a title doesn't support SLI then the GX2 would only use 1 GPU core (8800GTS 512). Although most titles these days have SLI profiles so i wouldn't worry.

Yes it is SLI and will have any problems that any other SLI setup will have.

It is quite literally two cards in SLI. When you take it apart its two cards with a little SLI bridge soldered to the bottom.
