Problems Overclocking Q6600 - Page 2

Hey Guys thanks for all the replies.

Sorry, I haven't gotten around to responding.

I got busy and just recently just started to overclock again. And I updated the bios and got everything running fine. So I thought....

I got it up to 3 ghz at 666 memory clock. It boots up fine runs fine. It will run fine for basically forever until I start up Age of Conan.

When I start the game up sometimes it will run for 3 hours with no problem, other times it will blue screen because of a "hardware failure". At first I thought this was undervolting the CPU, but I can run CPU stress tests forever without it messing up.

But, when I take the overclock off the processor it no longer blue screens. But, this also ups the FSB, Can this be caused by an undervolt of the FSB?

I am running SLI btw, but I have an 800 watt psu so I should be able to overclock while doing it.

Also temps look good across the board.

Well any help would be appreciated. Thanks ^^

Actually i have about the same thing happening to me, i have a q6600 g0 with a p5n-d mobo. when i clock it to 3gz everything works fine and i can run prime 95 for hours without failure but when i start Age of Conan i get a bluescreen saying hardware fauilure (not immediatly).
If i then resten to stock speed conan and everything else works fine.
