Help with Evga 780i

Thread Starter
I just bought my Evga 780i from ebay, but it hasn't arrive yet.

I got few questions about this board and hope u guys can answer my questions.

I have a Q6700 and want to run 1600 FSB on this board. Is it ok to run 1600 FSB for 24/7 @ 3.2 or 3.6GHz.

Which bios is good for oc?

The board support 8 pin for the CPU, but my PSU only has 4pin is there a way to convert to 8pin without changing my PSU (like a 4pin to CPU 8pin connector?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812887002). What's the advantage using 8pin?

Last question is about the limited lifetime warrenty. I bought it from ebay, but the seller don't have the orginal receive, will I be qualify for the warrenty? (Don't have the original purchase receive and not purchase from retailers)

Thanks in advance and +rep

this board is good, at 1600 FPS/ 9x multiplier would get u 3.6 ghz, 8x mult will get u 3.2 ghz..

i sugguest an 8 pin power supply.. to make overclock more stable.

and im not so sure about the warrenty, but if he have ur motherboard on the 90 day step up program, and u know the password to it.. you can step up the board to a 790i series..

Again,, i suggest a powersupply with a 8 pin.. also.. my friends power supply had a 4 pin, and mobo req 8 pin, his comp wont post until i let him barrow my 550w.
