Here's a good way to reinstall your TT plus the best way I've found to apply AS5.

Im in the same hole. I got a nice 7c to 8c difference, Cores 0 and 1 have always had this difference. Ive applied compound all over the place, same temp. Ive tried reseating cleaning compound using ASS , evenly upon cores and tighhning the screws on the block. Ive tried tighning it nothing,,, Soo finally I go let me do this right. Thx to my dad to help do it, ,, Soo I shoed him the picture of the ASS instructions for our CPU ,,, and it was a thin rice right between the cores,, not on the cores,, a line horizonal. Exactly how it showed from the difference of where the cores are. Soo we did that and put the block on,, the block moves a little,, not too much. we tightned the 4 screwes and placed the metal thing on top of it,, and tightned , and I asked my dad numerous times is it tight, it has to be soo tight the block cant move if you try it to. Soo it was tight. I booted up and exact same temps I had 30 minutes before we tried this. Its a nasty 7 8c difference. The bottom cores are cooler of course.. and even temps.. Top core are even temps too, Just 8c higher. I have heard ASS 5 ceramique has to settle in for 200 hours burn in, Its been like 70 hours I think or close to 100 minutes. Soo this burn in process they call, will it suddenly magically lower the temps or what... Im strating to not believe in Arctic compounds....
