Last week NVIDIA Management expressed the readiness to collaborate with VIA in order to create a cheap platform, which corresponds to vista premium requirements . The NVIDIA contribution in this platform will be the integrated chipset with directX 10 supports . VIA will supplement this chipset with its promising processors isaiah.

In the beginning of springs appeared rumors about the possibility of VIA purchase by NVIDIA company . It was assumed NVIDIA will obtain access to the developments of central processors, and it will be able, for example, to release hybrid processors with built-in graphic cores .

As reports associate, NVIDIA chapter stated about the absence of company intentions to purchase central processors producers. NVIDIA is assembled to remain company, concentrated exclusively on graphical solutions. However, if VIA and NVIDIA interests will intersect, collaboration between the companies will be developed.

Let VIA be VIA, even though I like Nvidia, I don't want them to get involve w/ CPUs, like what happened to AMD.

Was this site translated? Really hard to read... Had to go over it a few times to get what it is trying to say...

I think the whole idea of hybrid chips, CPU and a GPU on a single die would best be suited towards console manufactures, who lock in specific hardware attributes. As far as PC's, this idea is great for something like the ASUS Eee platforms. As far as enthusiasts are concerned, unless every possible combination of cpu and graphic lines are put into separate chips, this isn't worth it...

I understand the market intended with this idea, but i feel that in order for PC tech to progress, hardware needs to become more discrete, not integrated. But as far as having a simple PC for your grandparents to check their email, this is great.

High end CPU on the same chip as a high end GPU = fail. There is no point in this other than forcing people to few options in components. Unless like i was saying above, manufactures offer every possible different configuration for sale... Which isn't going to happen.
