Help upgrading Laptop memory

Hi guys,

I've never upgraded a laptop before but am fairly confident of how to do it physically, my only real concern is how it may affect the XP thats currently installed.

My friend's Fujitsu laptop has I believe an OEM copy of XP on it so if I upgrade the memory would there be any issues?

Cheers

No probs, just make sure your new ram is compatible with your mobo (speed and DDR or DDR2)

Yep get the right ram and plug it in, the worst I have ever had to do is two restarts to get it to recognize the new ram.

Oh ok I thought there was that problem where XP realises the system components have been changed and requires reactivation...would this not apply in this case?
