I'ma pester y'all for amd build suggestions

Thread Starter
I'm 2 weeks out from getting a new computer. I've been doing a bit of research and have gotten myself nice and confused, could you fine people help me build a computer under the parameters below?

1. build has to be under 850 including shipping. MIR unfortunately won't count.
2. I want to use this computer for Warhammer online (when it arrives), Orange Box, and be fairly future proof.
3. I have a 1440x900 display,copy of windows xp, keyboard,mouse, speakers.
4. I'd like to get Vista if possible, but that can be a purchase down the road.

thanks in advance for any suggestions!

i would recommend the 5000+ BE, biostar tforce 560 mobo, 2gb ram (or 4gb if you plan on getting 64bit OS) and 8800GT

bear with me, i've built two computers so far, but am quite a bit removed from the game. i'll just number my questions for easy referencing

1. Whats the benefit of the 5000+ BE over lets say a 6000+?

2. Will AM2 will be supported for 2-3 years?

3. If this is the correct board that was mentioned above, is it a noticeable gain
to go with a pci-e 2.0 motherboard with an 8800gt?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138102 this is a AM2+ motherboard

then you pick your own case, hard drive, and DVD drive you want

PCI-E will work in 2.0 and there is only a 3% gain vs 1.1

The BE has an unlocked multiplier, which makes it easier to OC and is cheaper than a 6000. I should have asked if you planned on OCing or not, since that will make a difference. Do you plan on overclocking?

I can't say for sure how much longer the AM2 chipset will be supported, but Am2+ just came out and i'm pretty sure its backwards compatible so that shouldn't be an issue.

I believe that mb does use PCI-E 2.0 but i don't know for sure. and i don't know if the gains are noticable or not.

i'd rather not mess with sli/crossfire. I am very prone to break things.

this is the build as I have it so far, please give me criticism or any improvements I could make:
