I ordered a new Akasa chipset fan hope it will keep it less and less. Do you have any idea like an other hardware problem can cause this lock and reseting?
Thank you again...
I bought a DS4 back in February and had similar readings when using motherboard monitor and hardware monitor. I installed Everest and it doesn't even register that temp.

I "chatted" with tech support at gigabyte and said that temp was normal. Now I doubt that. But I will say that this thing will be going back before the warranty is up. It's run well so far. The northbridge is very warm to the touch but I have a lot of air moving through the case.

So far, so good. If I can fit ThermalTake's northbridge cooler on the board, I'll probably install that on it.

Yap that THERMALTAKE CL-C0034 EXTREME SPIRIT II NB cooler is really good. I was planning to put that one but after putting the ASUS Silent Knight II there is hardly enough space to squeeze it in i guess.

By the way i will try to post some benchies when i am ready. Need to D'load those big softwares. But did a PCMark 2006 benchmark with score ~10000. Dont know how others are getting with this setting. What about u?
My benchmarks are about the same, just sub 10k. Love the card! It does well on the benchmarks and plows through F@H projects. The only thing I've found is that it generates a shload of heat when running the F@Hgpu-2 24/7. Make sure you've got good ventilation. Oc'ing the card it runs no hotter than 66C at full load/55 idle. Using ATI catalyst 8.4 because F@H doesn't yet support 8.5

hey man thanks,
I sent my mobo to tech service cause it stopped working and they changed it with the new one. I think there were somethings wrong by factory but now all my temps and reports from everest is fine and true. now my only matter is to change my rams with the most suitable ones as i asked it in the site again and most of people agree with the crucial ballistix and i think i will buy them in some future. if reports are wrong in everest try to force tech service by asking htey really help indeed. i also put an akasa ak-210 northbridge fan on original gigabyte passive heatsink and it works fine. tonite i m really happy cause i have my motherboard again
thank you.

Hello, i got a problem with this mainboard.

It just gives me standby screen on my monitors.

Im using with it:

AMD Phenom 9550 Quadcore
G.E.I.L. DDR2-800 4gb, product numbers: GX21GB6400UX, GX21GB6400LX and GX21GB6400DC.
2x Sapphire ATI HD3870 Toxic in crossfireX
Western Digital Raptor (Bulk, WD1500ADFD) 150gb
Cooler Master RealPower M620

Now i have tried using only 1 ram per strip, to test (so only 1gb at a time.) > fails still standby
I have tryed both videocards once at a time, in both diffrent slots each time. > still fails.

Now what could this be? Is my mainboard not working with my RAM, or my CPU or my vidcards?

Contacting GIGABYTE didnt help at all. They where just saying that everything should be working fine with eachother.

Im sick of this mess now, only because i had a nvidia chipset mainboard before and i coudnt use xfirex i had to switch.. More and more im beginning to hate upgrading to this.

Anyone knows how to get this working?

Thanks in advance

Please update ur sig rig.
Thats strange. Mine worked with the old bios shipped with it.
Which bios version r u using?
I would suggest u to re-seat ur processor and cooler again. If it doesn't work try to put a x2 if you have and see what happens. If it works then update the bios and drop the x4 9550 and see.
Good luck
