Decent Pre-Built PC?

Thread Starter
My buddy doesn't want to build his PC, don't ask why but he wants to buy a pre-built one. Is this a decent price? I don't think I could build this cheaper....and it uses real components with a real mobo.

its decent for the price, sure, but most pre-builts will be skimping somewhere, in this case the case and the PSU will most likely be the cheap components, but since it'll be under warranty, it should be fine. Also most companies install a crap load of unneeded bloat ware along with the OS...

Ibuypower and cyberpowerpc are both decently priced for prebuilts. I'd look into adjusting their builds directly and see if you can beat that one (ibuypower.com and cyberpowerpc.com).

Agreed...

The Costco versions are not really customized to a users preference...whereas if you go directly to the websites (cyberpowerpc.com and ibuypower.com) you can fully customize it to what you prefer. I do though recomend getting a minimal amount of RAM from them and then changing it as soon as you receive the PC (they charge a ton for budget memory like corsair select value).

My first high end PC was from IBuyPower, and it was great. A single-core Venice 3200+ with an X800 Pro, and a free copy of Half Life 2 / CS:S. I was even able to OC it, once the kind people here taught me how.
