8800GTS 320MB with Xigmatek 92mm or 9600GT with ACF7?

Thread Starter
Just like the title states. I have my choice between the following two coolers, to cool a Quad 6600.

Xigmatek 120mm
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

Which one would cool a Q6600 better? Don't even post and say get a TRUE or Tuniq, or whatever else. These are the ONLY two cooler's I'm looking at, unless you can suggest another alternative that is AS CHEAP or cheaper than these (don't say ANYTHING about MIR, I'm not interested). Suggestions, alternatives?

EDIT OF THREAD!:
Which setup?
8800GTS 320MB + XIGMATEK HDT-SD964 92mm
With the hopes of soft modding the GTS into a Quadro FX 4600 (the FX 4600 is based off the G80 8800GTS 320MB card with 768MB memory and 384bit bus)

OR

9600GT 512MB + Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro

Keep in mind, my dad does CAD work with this machine...hence why I'm even asking this question. I believe the 8800GTS should soft mod right over into the FX 4600. I just did it with his old 6800, and even though the specs were different from the Quadro equivilant (GeForce had more memory, different bus widths, etc..), it went right over.

So which setup would help my dad out more...considering he does CAD Work? 8800GTS 320MB soft modded into a Quadro FX 4600 and a good cooler (the one I said above), or the 9600GT with a worse cooler? I know, neither of these is the 120mm cooler I originally asked, but the 92mm version seems to be almost on par with it.

EDIT #2: Thread over, parts ordered:
Nevermind, I'm an idiot. The site I was getting my soft mod from (found here) was actually using an 8800GTS 320MB and it successfully modded over to a Quadro FX 4600. I cannot believe I missed that! So I ordered the 8800GTS 320MB and the Xigmatek 92mm tower style cooler. This setup should do my dad quite well.

I have a AF7 Pro and it keeps my chip at 60c load at 1.45v. I would recommend it but on a quad im not sure it would be adequate.

I would go with the XIGMATEK the push pins on that big ol thing make me shiver though.

You're also not running a Quad. I need this to be able to cool an overclocked Q6600 very well.

I'd say the Xigmatec.. It's a newer design, what with this new direct heatpipe touch thingy business..

Ch3f made a good log about his new cooling experiment usung the Xig, and results were similar to that of a TRUE.. (on his quad)

Just make sure it fits your board, they're quite big things.

I just read this last nite:
http://www.cpu3d.com/index.php?optio...mid=52&limit=1

I already have the AC 7 Pro
Bottom line:
Xigmatek is 5c lower idle and 10c lower load

If I had to do again I would get the Xigmatek, but it's not enough difference for me to change now (yet)
E8400 @ 3.6
idle 37c
load 56c

lol they have Duos.

Get the Xigmatech, but buy 2 good fans and put it in a "push-pull" set up. Reviews say this and the OCZ vendetta 2 cool better than a TRUE.

I cannot afford fans either. I have a $193 budget total including shipping. This has to buy a GPU for the rig currently in my sig, and a cooler. Not enough for extra fans too .

@ OP I ordered the Xigmatek S1283 to go along with my Q6700, it offers comparable performance to the TRUE while costing significantly less and weighing less too...

-EDIT-

Couple reviews,

In my case, Xigmatek is slightly cooler than AC7 (both with AS5)
