Thread Starter
Im in VMware with Ubuntu and Yesterday I started getting a BSOD on 1 of 2 virtual machines when I send results. I didn't catch the code in time but this is what vista gave me:
Quote:
Problem signature:
Problem Event Name:BlueScreen
OS Version:6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID:1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode:a
BCP1:FFFFFA1FFFFFFFF8
BCP2:0000000000000002
BCP3:0000000000000001
BCP4:FFFFF80001C9562B
OS Version:6_0_6000
Service Pack:0_0
Product:256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:WindowsMinidumpMini051408-01.dmp
C:UserseollisAppDataLocalTempWER-46956-0.sysdata.xml
C:UserseollisAppDataLocalTempWERD171.tmp.version.t xt
Any suggestions? It didnt submit my WU and Ive lost 2 already so Im ticked.

Oh, my overclock is plenty stable.

If only you knew the quirks I'm dealing with
P5K don't seem to like the Q6600. Some times it boots, sometimes it don't... Asus will NEVER EVER get another $ from me 2 crapped out Crossfire MBs and the wacko P5K, Asus can rot in HELL
The X38 is getting a full virtual OS reload in VM because the Ubuntu OS is wacko and the screen is black and won't recognize any commands.

that sucks.... My parents are making me pay the electric bill now (the change that my computer made). So I moved all my work from 3 computers to 1. I was running 2 P4 3.0Ghz (90ppd...lol) and my quad but now Im only on my quad. Im not having issues with my x38. Vmware+ubuntu folds so much faster though. I wish you luck.

Now if only someone knew how to solve my problem.

Dude I'm getting the exact same BSOD. I've tried reinstalling Vista and it hasn't helped. I'm clueless because I've even tried running stock settings. The only thing, is I'm getting this randomly. It's not when I'm sending the results. I hope we can figure this out!

What do you do before the BSOD? We have no hardware in common so driver incompatibility can be ruled out. Im thinking it might be something with networking. I'm not sure, but thats my gut feeling. I only get this when I submit a WU.

I'm running MemTest right now to see if my memory is taking a dump on me.

ok. I am positive my machine is stable. ITs been folding for 2 weeks constant except for the last crash. I ran prime95 for 24hours and 7 passes of memtest. Im confident its software related....hopefully. Tell my what you find. Also, I do not believe it is a memory error. I will do my research.
