Open Box Motherboard

Thread Starter
Is anything missing from the open box Motherboards?

Or just open box products in general...

If there is, what is it and where can I get it?

Chances are you wont have any missing items from an open box item. I have bought about 5 open box deals (All from newegg.com) and got all the accessories the retail came with. Maybe I'm just lucky...

I wouldnt say chances are you will get everything, i think its the opposite.

They advertise as saying there could be no accessories. This means JUST the MB. No cables, no discs no documentation and no box.

its a gamble, you could get all the components or you could just get the board.

I would say GET it. Most people dont need the sata cables or out of date drives on the disc. And paper can be saved when viewing the manual online.

WORST CASE: The board is DOA, which just means a manufactures RMA = all the parts when you get it back. (Usually)

Yep, thats exactly why I look for open box items and I guess I got lucky the times I actually ordered one.

the only thing that's really necessary is the I/O shield backplate which sucks when it's missing, it's a real hit and miss, but other than that, it's worth it usually.
