PSU got loud lately...Reason?

Its like a pulsating hum, not sure why, but its much louder than normal, been like this for a few days. Any ideas why?

Much longer than that. Ultra's aren't known for being rock solid though. Newegg doesn't even sell them. Try to RMA it. Tell them it sounds like it's going to explode lol.

well it is getting hotter and the fan could be thermally controlled. meaning, the hotter it gets, the more the fan cranks it up.

or it could be going bad on you

Depending on if you want to void warranty and then find out its not the fan... you could replace the fan, or you could RMA it. If you replace the fan you will void the warranty because they can see you opened up the PSU because there is always a sticker over the screw parts.

Give the PSU a cleaning with some compressed air (careful of the potential moisture).

That would be an inexpensive first step.
