not looking to spend a lot on this...well not yet anyways.

i wanted to get a 9600gt before but i read some pretty bad things about it...

the new 9800gt and gx/gx2 and such are a bit pricey for me...so i'll have to pass.

i guess my budget is $200. a little more wouldnt hurt if its really worth it.

been reading a lot of good reviews on the G92 tech. but haven't found any with a killer price...

should i just save some money and get a 9600gt?
planning to SLI in the future.

its going to run with...
E8400
750i EVGA
2 x 2g G.Skill 1000
pc p&c 750
19" screen (i'll be using it for a 60" LCD at movie parties. and 32"/42" LCD for shows.) my friends are Blu-ray addicts...

Will SLI later...

looking at the EVGA and XFX cuz of the warranty and service.

is this the best thing to get?

What you posted is exactly what I would get, there is nothing else in that price point to beat it. You could try to find someone with a used 8800GTX/Ultra as single cards go they should still beat it, but I would just buy that one new.

The 3870 can't beat an 8800GTS 512, a 3850x2/3870x2 can but they are both well over $200. No crossfire board either...

i'll only go with ATI if im really into video and HD movies.
hey havent integrated movies into games so i'll stick with Nvidia.

lol now my question is EVGA or XFX?
XFX has a free CO4
EVGA has Crysis
which is a better game? XD

BTW if i get EVGA 640MB and if i go SLI then the other card has to be 640MB?

I think XFX has a better warranty, I mean slightly. I have only owned evga and have never been let down. Your looking at a 512, and yes you will have to get another 512.

Since when does the 9600GT have bad reviews?

Regardless, Newegg has an 8800GTS G92 for $194 after MIR and it's a fantastic deal in my opinion.
