Does anyone know what the CFM/DB ratio of the stock AMD AM2 fan is?

They are all different, my friend go some monster delta fans on his stock cooler for his fx74. I have seen at least 4 different brands on my different cpus.

My one is virtually silent, around the 1000 rpm mark...I've decided to put a duct on my cpu currently and I might chuck a different 80 mm on if its worth it. I'll get a proper aftermarket sometime.

On my sisters 939 socket I picked up a 70mm-80mm adapter, then a 80mm-120mm adapter. Then I strapped on a stock xion 120mm fan from my case. With it being forced to a smaller size it gets some serious velocity, I believe the xion fans are like 25-28 cfm, but much much better and I picked up the adapters off ebay for like $5. The only problems with smaller fans is that they get whiny, the 120 isn't exactly quiet in this setup but at least it isn't whining.

Also most stock am2 coolers are 70mm not 80mm.

Gah that's gonna be a pain in the ass if it is 70 mm, Might have to get the cable ties out. though I have fit an 80 mm in a 92 MM mounting, but that's a different story.

If you check out sites like these for good fans. The main advantage to using the adapters is that you can get an LED fan.
