Ram ram ram ram.

Righto, I'm lost.

I have the following motherboard D975XBX2 rev 507 (it will support the cpu). Although I will prob only be sticking with this motherboard for another 4-5 months.

I'd like to do the following:

Overclock a Q6600 to at least 3.4

Now ram wise.. what should I get?

We've got:

PC6400:

Corsair 4GB (2 x 2048MB) PC6400 Dual Channel DDR (TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX) XMS2 C5 (£64)

OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz ReaperX HPC Enhanced Bandwidth Edition Dual Channel DDR2 (OCZ2RPX800EB4GK) (£82)

Geil 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400 800Mhz EVO ONE CAS5 Dual Channel Kit - GE24GB800C5DC (£75)

Geil 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400 800Mhz Black Dragon Dual Channel Kit - GB24GB6400C5DC (£63)

PC2-8000:

G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PQ PC2-8000C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ) (£82)

OCZ 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR2 1000MHz/PC2-8000 Memory REAPER X EDITION ENHANCED BANDWITH CL5 (£80)

PC8500:

OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Reaper HPC Edition Dual Channel DDR2 (OCZ2RPR10664GK) (£89)

Theres many more but these are the ones I've looked at so far.

So I guess the main question is which one will enable me to overclock the q6600 the best?

Corsair XMS2
I read its not very good at overclocking.

OCZ Repear Series
Good ram but it's hard to fit 4 sticks onto most motherboards due to the heatsinks?. Although I don't plan on 8GB yet it'll be nice to expand in the future without the size limit.

Geil
?

G.Skill PC2-8000
Seen some good reviews on this and it being recommended here and there. Although this is true with all the ram I've listed In the UK I can only find it for £82.. in the USA its what $80?

Which ram would be best in the long run?

Please help me decide.. been at it for ages now and it's the only thing holding me back from building my new machine sniff.

ok,.. all good rams basically
if u could get OCZ or Crucial would be better
but heres an example of my corsair (DHX version is very good for overclock)
been using it for months wihout any issue, VTT 1.36v, vNB 1.43v, vDimm 2.3v

its 2x TWIN2X2048-6400 C4 DHX

Thx
