cost of painting your case can change a lot depending on how much of the case your painting, what colors your using, and if your going to buy sand paper tape and paint can holder things etc.

I really like what //.DK did painting his computer. My computer will have a lot of blue LED parts, some glow in the dark green would look cool.

i would look into that but u can do that whenever u want but painting your case takes a little time and before you computers built is the best possible time to paint your case as you wont have to disasemble everything and leave it out of commision for a week or more. im going to paint my case's interior candy metallic blue and leave the outside black its going to look teh sexy ^_^ the overall look will be black/blue with green accents

Hey all! I just built my computer, still have to take pics once I find my good camera. I've installed vista, and just installed the the mobo drivers. Question though... when I booted, it said my 4GB of ram was running at 800MHz instead of the 1066 that it should be at. Do I just need to manually set them to 1066 or is it something else?

Also, I have my two 8800GTS G92s in, but the computer only recognizes my graphics as "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter." Is something wrong? Or do I just need to install the disk that the gpu's came with?

Ok, the evga disk that came with each GPU doesn't do anything when I click "install drivers." Interesting, lol.

I ran GPU-Z on the computer, and it recognizes both two cards I guess.. (has a little drop down menu). Both are named "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter." Both are listed as G92. One is listed as GDDR4 with 4095 MB of memory and 0 MHz clock speed. The other is listed (correctly) as 512 MB of GDDR3 # 678 MHz. Why oh why.

Windows only recognizes your graphics cards as a "Standard VGA adapter" until you install the drivers (the disc that came with your card). Once the drivers are installed, it'll read as your card.

Thank you both for the help.

I went in manually and set the timings of the memory at 1066MHz 5-5-5-15 2.050 Volts (as per g.skill's recommendation).

I put the CD with the one gpu in and clicked "install drivers" and it didn't seem to do anything after quite a while so I took it out. Now I'm trying the other CD and giving it more time. I'll keep you posted! I have my laptop set up right next to me.
