ChrisB17 is 100% correct. Many think it was an underhanded move by intel since they where trying to get the rights to SLI. The ES Yorkfields worked with them, but not the retail when they hit the streets.
So none of the 600 series boards will support the 45nm quads.

Dude you will notice more difference then ever! I upgraded to the C2D from a Phenom 9600 and theres night and day. Im surprised such a small chip is so fast!
You have it reversed. The 680i LT is good with duals, it just doesnt supply the needed GTL REF voltage to OC quads.Edited by ericeod - 5/15/08 at 7:51pm
