SD is made of Pure Fail

Well, I'm home for the summer and was considering foregoing busting out my massive rig (z-5500's and all) in my tiny room. After all, I have a 360 to play games on and can hook it up to my tv instead of my 226BW. After going HD though, I can't play any of my games effectively in SD. Guitar hero is okay but looks like crap. Halo makes it ****ing tough to aim, and GTAIV is straight up unplayable. The map is friggin' tiny! I remember reading an article about a year back about many next gen games being developed entirely on hd screens and leading to problems in sd - but this is ridiculous. Oh well - I'll probably break out the screen and nothing more

lol the only SD tv I hooked my 360 up to was my old flat tube tv which was like the best tube tv you could get before Widescreen plasmas became popular.

It didnt look that bad. I only played oblivion and gears of war and they didnt look too bad.

I've seen some pretty good deals around the web for 42+" 1080p screens that you might look into. there was a refurb on tigerdirect for about 800 if i recall recently. Also the sceptre 42" or even 3*" screens are cheap and aren't bad.

They also make AWESOME computer monitor, lol.

this is the screen I use. It's not bad at all and very affrdable as far as large 1080p sets go. the seperate media box is a but of a PITA tho. BTW when i go mine it was about 1700 not 700, lol.

there's a whole buch of 1080p sets on newegg. the 37" Westinghouse is also VERY nice from what I've heard for use as a computer monitor and gaming consloe screen. I've played NFS:Carbon on the westinghouse 0 ghosting. and I can never notice any ghosting on my sceptre...

OH! on a side note. that 42" sceptre is now cheaper than whati paid for my 24" BenQ LCD.
