Call of Duty 4 profile problem

Thread Starter
I just tried opening my CoD4 multiplayer and my profile wasn't there. I was rank 44 and now it's as if there was no profile. It asked me to make a new name.

I opened up C drive, users, appdata, virtual store, activision, and then found my profiles folder was still there. I copied it and then uninstalled CoD4.

I reinstalled it and made a new user name. The weird thing is, when I goto C drive, users, appdata, virtual store, activision i don't see that new user there nor do I see a profiles folder anymore. It's as if CoD4 doesn't put the user profiles here anymore or it doesn't recognize it.

I've reformatted my computer about 12 times due to some ram problems (fixed now), and I reinstalled CoD4 many times while copying and pasting my same profile to that folder and it works every time. How come now it's not working, and even before I uninstalled CoD4 it was as if my profile was gone? Anyone know any thing?
