If those Nvidia cards perform like they should. I think we could have a new 8800GTX on our hands (In a good way.).

If not, I won't bother to upgrade, unless the 4870 performs better then the 3870x2.

how about waiting until the cards come out to talk about the specs??

It seems like people who want info sooner than later have to wade through sevral different sources, and confusing them selfs, rather than to just wait and see. It's like Christmas, wait until it's time to open the presents rather than speculating whats inside...

I'm starting to get the feeling that the HD4870 may have been a bit overhyped. Hopefully that's not the case, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high as of right now. Perhaps the ~$250 graphics upgrade will have to wait.
