this may help you to know that I JUST installed and upgraded from a 680i to a 780i motherboard, and Im getting alot of problems, this being the first and foremost

Actually it does when your are overclocked, especially when you're set to run high Vcore. C1E and EIST transitions can cause voltage overshoot and damage your chip if you already are near your Vcore limit.
