Asus Strike Formula II Bios help!!!

Thread Starter
hey guys this is my first time on this forum - i have the asus striker 2 formula motherboard but i'm having trouble figuring out where to edit the front side bus. I found the cpu voltage just fine but the FSB is nowhere in sight.

theres also a bunch of features i need to enable to get to certain things and i'm completely confused. This is only my second time ever overclocking and i could use some help. thanks.

I have a striker II formula, at home. The manual tells you how to do it easily. I would try to recall it, but i dont want to hurt your bios.

the manual doesn't say anything specific. My processor is a Q6700 so i'm looking for a number of 266 which would be the FSB but i can't find anything.

I found the voltage and the memory overclocking features just not the FSB.

Again this is only my second time overclocking - my last time being on a P4 many years ago. I just upgraded and i'm completely lost in this extreme tweaker nonsense.

Ill fish out the manual off the web and check. I remember it being cryptic.

Whilst im doing this, why dont you fill out your sig rig? Up the top in quick links go to user control panel.

well just to be safe by CPU voltage the bios means Vcore right ?

I didn't just set the voltage for something other then that right ?

I have the manual guy, this " extreme tweaker" stuff is fairly ambiguous in comparison to what i thought i knew.

Here we go, ok.... Extreme tweaker>> FSB and memory config>> FSB Memory clock mode, change that to unlinked. From memory i also changed the FSB-memory ratio (which should be accessable now) to 1:1. From then i could change the greyed out FSB,QDR which changes your FSB.

yeah well that feature " QDR" says minimum required fsb 533 which makes no sense with a 10x multiplier. And since i want to attempt 3.0-4.0 ghz clocks with this cpu it will be impossible to change that fsb feature since it says " minimum required fsb 533 " - maybe i should update to the 1202 bios ?
