are all of you using rivatuner? I tried using EVGA precision, but I'm not sure if it's any good. when you guys are referring to gpu speeds they are: core/shader/memory is that correct?? Does having two cards sli'd have an effect on overclocking?? Or will they oc the same as if I only had one??

I use EVGA Precision for the fan speed. I don't think the 9800GTX's are supported through Rivatuner. I use Precision to OC as well.

My clocks are 800/2000/1225

GoneTomorrow- I've got two 9800 GTX's also, but I'm only scoring just under 16,000 in 3dmark06. I'm assuming it is because both my processor and vid cards are running at stock speed and I am getting a bottleneck because of the processor (e8400 @ 3Ghz). Is overclocking my processor the best way to try and reach 20,000, or should i try something else as well???

Definitely OC your GPUs and CPU for benchmarking, it's silly not to.

About the CPU, I only hit 20k because of my Quad at 3.9 GHz. Quads get really big CPU scores on 3DMark06, double what dual cores do. However, if you push your E8400 to 4 GHz or more, which from what I've seen it can easily do, and OC the GPUs, you should get at least a 2000-3000 more marks.

When I bench, I push all OCs to their absolute limits. For ordinary gamin and use I only have modest OCs. My modest OC 3DMark score would probably be 17-18k or so, never tried it.

I use EVGA Precision, it's really simple and effective. I use to use RivaTuner but it caused stability problems.
