I play cod4 only and after i play like 2-3 hours actually im not quite sure if its only after 2-3 hours it might be from the beginning that i start playing ....didnt get a lot of attention ....anywayz after i play i get some stutterings when i look on the lagometer i see a small 1 cm long line its really small but thats what causes the lag or in the green line i get like a hole ... i mean the green its like it has a hole in it

Example for the green line : .......:..... - when i see the line
.... ...... - when i get the hole
Im not really amazing at explanations :SSSS
I got wireless internet and like 20% signal strength
My vid card @ idling i get 39 degrees with an aftermarket cooler
My cpu i get 50 temps @ idling .... its a q6600 Go stepping so it can go till 74
it goes higher when i test it in prime but cod4 uses like 20% of my cpu....so i dont think its the cpu.....
in bios i got
my bios settings
multiplier 9x
400 fsb
333 fsb strap to nb
cpu voltage on auto ( if i change it pc wont boot even in bios)
nb volt 1.49
fsb termination volt 1.42
loadline calibration enabled
cpu gtl reference 63x
nb gtl reference 73x
dram voltage 2.1
cpu spread spectrum disabled
pcie spread spectrum disabled

Your CPU/Video card is unstable.

There's your problem!

I have to ask.. you are on the latest 175.16 WHQLs right? If not that would be the first thing to try. This seems like a software issue, not a hardware issue.

Wow... No one thinks his lag and stuttering while playing online is caused by his wireless connection with 20% signal strength? That get's my vote for the culprit.

Also, the vCore. You're running at Q6600 @ 3.6GHz on auto voltage? That's a no no. Why not try dropping it to 3.4GHz and see if any problems go away. What are you really getting out of that extra 200MHz?

itgs sounds like to me that the thermal throttling is booting in, this happened to my 7900gs it was bugging the hell out of me i re-set the heatsink and also bought some ram chips, it did the trick.

also, have you tried downclocking the memory on the card and core?

try those few things if not check that your PSU rails are all ok and not fluctating to much, alot of pc problems can stem from a flaky PSU

how could it throttles @ 39 degrees @ idling this card can go till 80 degrees
btw i forgot to tell that on my lagometer i see now like a little mountain but really small that makes me stutter + the other 2 that i have explained at the beginning
I get 125 fps SOLID it goes down only when im in the middle of the street spamming like a crazt....i noticed that in my control panel of my gpu there is maximum pre rended frames 3x
1 interesting thing is that....even if i dont move i still get stuttering.....

It's gotta be that connection. I really don't think this has anything to do with temp and/or voltages. Even though your temps may be high, that is a separate issue IMO.

The facts are: you get solid frame rates, this stuttering is only happening while online (yes?), you're on a wireless connection, and your lagmeter is showing dropped packets and lag spikes. The culprit is most likely your net connection. Router, wifi, NIC, etc. And think that's where you should be looking.
