What's a good notebook soundcard?

What's a good soundcard for a laptop for under a $100? I was looking at the X-Fi Xtreme Audio, but I remember that the desktop version isn't any good and am not sure how good the notebook version is.

Checked out the Audigy, but not sure about those either.

You can try the USB Asus Xonar U1. Its pretty good compared to creative PCMCA stuff.
