thats the chip. and its not dmtsc its dmt3c

As far as chipmods, for some, yes, for some, no. There are other ways though, doing a small motherboard monitor will work (gutting an old floppy ide cable and plugging it into your socket then dropping your cpu on it.. check around)

As far as how far you can OC, I wouldnt know, I OC'd my duron 800 to 1100 stable, but I needed hella cooling, 1000 was a nice operating temp.

thanks for the help man...when I wrote the processer type down it was hard to read becouse of the small amount of TP on it. lol dislexia? maby.

Im interested in this mod your talking about ill look into it and if you have time to talk more about it that would be great becouse im not totaly sure what your talking about...however im pretty quick to catch on.

I will have a really good cooling system pretty soon...I have all the parts for my homemade waterblock now and all I have to do is stick them all tougether and prey. Its alot nicer then what I thought I would end up with, let me tell you. (pics comming today I think)

I also have a nice industrial squirlcage fan that I can attach to my case that blows much harder then needed...I call it aircooled overkill. its loud though and after a while the housing around the motor starts to heat up a bit...im sure it just needs the nasty old grease with some fresh oil or something. the air comming out dosnt seem to be changed much.

so im not worried about heat for the most part I guess. I do have enough old parts that I can tear up some stuff and not cry about it.

Tell me more!
