How to Safely Remove Partition?

Thread Starter
I've got Vista installed on one of my other PC's, its also got Ubuntu installed on a 20GB partition of the 80GB hard drive and I want to try another distro with more partition space. How would I go about removing that linux partition safely so the windows side would boot up as normal?

for xp was like this:
1. remove linux partition from windows (disk management)
2. insert windows installation disk, restart and boot from it
3. enter rescue mod (enter administrator password, if any)
4. type "fixmbr"

should work for vista, but check to be sure

Ah, easier than I thought. On the Vista disk it must be under 'repair' rather than rescue. Thanks +rep
