q9450 oc help

Thread Starter
Hello Im new to overclocking and am curently building a new system.I've read a few overclocking guides but the settings (more important the voltages vcore, vtt, vid ect....) they use seem to be for 65nm chips not 45nm chips so I was wondering what some safe voltages are for the q9450 so I can mess around overclocking and learn what im doing without starting a fire on my desk?

So I can up my fsb a little at a time and when the system is no longer stable up the vcore untill it is stable and repeat but dont pass 1.4v on vcore and I should be ok? Do i have the basic idea behind this.

Yes, but you should stay under 1.37 actually.
