Heh, I think hes just human, even if a little self-centered at times.

Being the underdog has its advantages too

And you do realize that once you allow it to run on "all" hardware that it will be as slow and bloated as windows is due to haveing to support all that extra hardware right?? There's a reason its faster, Apple hand selects the hardware used in there systems and as such, only needs to have support for that small handfull of hardware. This is also the reason you see apple lag behind PC's in areas like Video cards by sometimes up to a year or more.

At anyrate OS X is a great OS hell I ran it on my system until I got my current video card which is not fully supported yet, and untill I got this card I'd essentially moved completely over to OS X, all the software I use and need is available on Mac and most often ran better in OS X.

If and when they come out with good driver support for the 3850's, I'll probably switch back again.

Except you get none of the support from apple, whoch fom my experience with my MacBook is excellent. And when I call tech support, I can actually understand everyone since its not outsourced! (ok, that was off topic)

But anyways, apples support is good and you lose it with the Psystar. So sure you can pay less, but will Psystar be able to help the customer if problems come up?

Bye bye? No.. But Apple is a hardware company first with a strong brand-name, why let that go to waste? If people want to have a Mac, they can get a mac computer; thats apple's stand.

OSX = Unix = more secure than windows..

Not impervious by any means, but it is more secure than windows, and Apple has a great track record with fixing exploits and problems that come up in a timely fashion.

Just like the Safari Carpet Bomb?

Yea, they're great at fixing things.

I would never buy something with OSX on it, for hardware and software compatibility reasons, but I do applaud Psystar for having the balls for this kind of stuff. I would run home to my mommy if a large company such as Apple was going to sue me, lol.
Laptop...awesome.
