CM690 Side Panel Grill Fan Noise

Does anyone have a custom 690 side panel/window and fan mount to sell?

Any tutorials on simple window mods or fixes for the side panel grill?

Or maybe help me with my current problem with the stupid side panel grill noise me and tons of other people get with the fan making noise on the side grills. I have an electric sander but im sure sanding it wont do anything. I dont have the parts or materials to cut out the grill and make one of my own holes. I put spacers in between the fan and the grill which keeps it quiet but its far away I dont think its really sucking cool air into the case.

I know what you mean. The fans are annoying sometimes. I've got a fan controller and kept those fans low most of the time, unless I'm gaming. If your serious about removing the grill, just go down to your local hardware store and pick up a pair of tin snips - probably cost you less than $10 and take you only a few minutes to cut out the grill.

Alright well I already ordered 2 generic Grills off newegg, costing me $15 =[

Do you know where I should actually cut the grill and where not to cut it?

I've seen some people cut out a cross shaped hole leaving all the screw holes, but I cut out everything but the 120mm screw holes. I was using a dremel though and with tin snips it would be easier to stick to just the thin perforated metal and leave the thicker parts where the screw holes are.

Ok I will probably just be cutting the grill in a circle and leave the thicker black parts for the holes.
