okay. im really annoyed at this point heh. im thinking its my monitor. ive been playing on an old tv using av cables and i played on my parents lcd tv through HDMI no problem. thing is, i get no video when trying it with my monitor. i tried the reset ps3 thing where it loads defaults. didnt work. went into settings with av cables, changed it to HDMI and swapped in my HDMI to DVI monitor cable. didnt work. any help? ive been all over google. heres my monitor.

First make sure your ps3 is set to put out 720p and not 1080, then otherwise it could be the HDMI>DVI cable I guess.

Obviously the PS3 and HDMI are working, and I'm presuming the monitor is working, so only thing left would be the HDMI>DVI cable, or the video settings in the ps3 being something your monitor doesn't support.

Something I just remembered. The monitor needs to be HDCP compliant to work with the ps3, I'm guessing yours isn't .
