Nforc is super hot?? possible mobo problem?

I'm new to ocn and thought i would ask for some advice on a problem that has me scratching my head. To make a long story short i basically bought a OEM because i got a good deal on it about a year ago, swapped the parts i wanted into a different case and added a 8800GT to the mix.My concern is im using Nvidia monitor view to watch my temps and lately my Nforc has been around 59 to 61c at idle and around 65 to 70c under load. The Gpu is around 52 to 55 at idle and as it around 69c max. The motherboard is a Asus A8M2N-LA basically a locked am2 oem board and i'm hardly pushing this thing like i could. Just some occasional BF2, web browsing, etc. If anyone has any suggestions that would be good

First things first, try a different monitoring app, see if that makes a difference. Try it without the 8800 (just for fun) to see if maybe the added stress of having to power that beast is causing the chipset to work hard. If thats the case I suggest some aftermarket chipset cooling.

Thanks for all the advice So i took your advice superk and i swapped out the 8800GT and threw in my old pci e card i had laying around. It did drop my north bridge temp around 9 to 10c at idle, Then i ran a game so i could stress the system a little and after checking my temps the north bridge heated up around 5 c but the video card hit a smoking 81c so actually my old card which is a low end nvidia pci e ran alot hotter at idle and for sure at load then the 8800GT.So i've come to the conclusion the 8800GT is putting more load on the north bridge but as far as gpu temps they are lower thanks superk. As far as casefans i have 3 80 mm's and 2 120mm's but the problem i think is my case SUCKS for airflow and its been hitting temps around 95 to 100f which doesn't help much.Anyone have a decent nb cooler they could recommend?

and add a 80mm fan to it & will majorly drop your temps.

if you have some $ to spare you could also go with a liquid system.. grab up some chipset blocks and be on yer way

Try this one. It is universal, ie supports any chipset. Full copper with Fan.
