Build for neighbour

Sorry, wasn't sure where to put this...

My neighbour wants a new compy, thing is he has only a slight idea of how PC's work, he actually think's he's the business lol, just because he reads magazines. He's not even got the internet lol. Anyway I thought to save him buying some computer he thinks is amazing cos the magazine says so and also to earn me a bit of sterling I put together this comp, he said he was looking at the PC for £500, which looked ok but I'm sure all the componants were ****e lol. Anyway, this far outdoes any of them magazine ones, infact I want it for myself But I want it to be perfect so can anyone tell me if it's ok and where I can improve? I tried to get it so it was upgradable for a while but wasn't sure on m/bs, well you have a look yourself! the PSU everyone will probably say is ****e, but yeah trying to save everywhere, if anyone can imporve it that would be great, thanks! I'll enjoy building it if I can get him to turn

Thanks, reps wil be given a plenty!

The GPU would be an overkill if he doesn't game and replace the PSU with a more efficient one like Antec EarthWatts. Everything else looks good (:

Change video card to something 8800gts or 9800 (nvidia is my choice)

They are a lot more pricey! £500 total is the limit here.

Samsung drives are quieter imo than the liteon. Core looks good, and vid card for $ works. I'd get a couple extra case fans and maybe talk him into a NB cooler or cpu cooler. The zalman 9500a is like $35USD when on sale. It'll help a lot when OCing to take full advantage of the the 45nm core OC ability. Rest looks spot on.

hehe, trust me, he won't let me overlclock ! I was worried at first about having it all stuffed into a mini ATX but the case seems ok, has two fans which is ok for the flow.
