Success! Q6600 3.0 on Air at stock volts - Page 2

But Sgt. Collins, are you also at stock voltage? Probably not. The original poster is running stock voltages.

Yep, it G0. As for pushing it more, my goal was 3.0 ... but pushing it a bit further would be icing on the cake, and I likes me some icing

Going to have to wait on it though, heh.

Okay, Okay... so it's actually 2.997, heh, close enough

Runs stable according to stress testing, assuming 2hrs + of OCCT is still considered stable. Goes between 57 - 62 C at load.
WTG! Though all chips aren't created equally you should see if you can get away with undervolting your Q6600 while maintaining your OC...

Give it a shot, it's worth it IMHO.

Hmm... interesting idea, I might just try that! Though technically, at least according to OCCT, it's running at load on 1.25 (vdroop or inaccuracy?) when it's VID is 1.3 (CPU-Z). Still, could work

If you haven't changed anything in the BIOS, then yes that would be a vDroop of .05

Do 3.2GHz with 400x8. It's a sweet spot for Q6600 G0 with DDR2 800 ram.
