BF2 is a bit tactical, but I disagree about COD4. It's a great game, and it is fun, but there is really no tactical skill in that game. It is literally run and gun the majority of the time, and grenades are way too overused. I don't even take the game seriously in scrims! CS is the same in some respects (like all video games are), but it is way more tactical in my opinion.
Oh believe me, COD4 can be pretty close to the real deal at least in hardcore.
You can't say COD4 is less tactical because nades are used too much, ever hear of a grenadier? Believe me, in Iraq they will dump buckets(figuratively) of nades onto a convoy.
You cant lean into a corner in CS, in COD4 you can. In COD4, you can tactically use an airstrike to your advantage, in CS there is none.
Most CS maps play out like this, everyone rushes to one or two entrances in the level, camp for a few minutes while picking each other off, then one team retreats back into their spawn and die.
In COD4, there are so many ways to go through the map, giving you an advantage if you are able to flank the other team.
My biggest beef is the smoke nade, the freaking smoke hovers a foot off the ground allowing the campers to completely bypass your using of the smoke nade in a tactical manner.
