Thread Starter
Hello people, im not new to the OC scene, but it has been about 5 yrs since i did an OC. This is my new system i just built less then 2 weeks ago.

Asus P5k SE
Intel E2180- OC'ed to 3ghz with stock cooler! corev is set to 1.31,FSB @ 300,Pcie @ 100..
80 gig sata WD 7200 rpm and a 160gig WD ide for drive 2.
1 gig ddr 2 6400 kingston with latency 5 goin to get 2 more in 2 weeks.
Aluminum Tower alittle bigger then a mid size.everything black.
22 inch Chimei lcd
lite on 20x dual layer that i flashed also so it can now burn dual layer dvd's.
msi gforce 8800 gts 320 OC with a 575mhz clock at it stock OC.with nvidia drivers newest ones.
500W Thermaltake PSU with dual 12volt rails.nice too.all black with fans blowing down to MB with braided cables. and 2 added fans to the chassis both blowing air out of the case.one from the back, the other from the side panel.standard size fans.
So far using Core Temp and Real Temp, my idle temps are around 41-43c..running prime95 ver25.xx it jumps to 50-57c
Running Vista 32bit..

Ok i loaded up doom 3 set everything to ultra high and the game was laggy..very!!

I need sum info on sum of the things i might can do with this setup to get max speed and performance with the least amount of heat..
and also rate my sytem according to it current specs..and what it might need to give it that extra kicked!..
thanks

It looks like you may be on the low side with only 1gig of RAM and Vista. 2gigs, in my mind, is the new minimum. So, if you add two more sticks, like you said, then that will get you to ~3. Which is good since you are running a 32bit system. Once you add more RAM I would think your performance should increase. Also make sure you have the most up to date drivers, especially for your video card.

Everything else looks good. Your temps are good. Mine gets to about the same as yours, and as long as it doesn't go past 70C you're fine.
