i don't need a large custom set, just a single block for the cpu. the stock gpu cooler is doing fine, everything else looks good. im pretty sure its just my cpu.
i just came across this if something like this type/cost doesnt work, should i go back to air?

im still pretty sure his watercooling setup aint that crap that it cant cool a simple cpu.......just try resetting the heatsink and let us know wot happens , use a tiny bit of thermal paste and make sure the block is on 100% correctly , i once never tightened down my cpu block and it was idling at 40c and on load it went to 90C for a second! (dunno why my chip never died.....72c is supposedly the max).....

shut down my pc and re-set now its fine

DO NOT buy prebuilt watercooling, simple as that. You will simply end up shelling out even more cash for broken components from it leaking on it, or more money for a better air heatsink or for quality watercooling. Either go high end air, or actually invest some money in quality watercooling. Oh you have a cyberpowerpc rig...... that explains it. Those so called "enthusiast custom pc makers" are crap. They sucker you in with crap watercooling systems and get you to pay an ungodly amount of money for something that cools like crap. No offense to you, it's just that you got suckered in.

He's trying to cool an overclocked Q6600 with a single radiator and an underpowered pump, I'm surprised he's even getting temps that good, I expected higher. Oh and temps over the 71C limit aren't gonna kill it instantaneously.

well, everything else with this system i pleased with. and the price was pretty good i thought, $1200.
i will probably go with the tuniq tower 120 or something like that. and with th radiator gone, i could put the 250mm case fan back on the side.
