put PSU in upside down?

Thread Starter
hi this is my first build so sorry if this is a dumb question...
i have a antec 900 case so the psu goes in at the bottom. should i put the psu in upside down so the fan on the psu points up? i dont think i'll get any air in it if i put the fan facing the bottom of the case. it seems obvious just wanna make sure though.
thanks for any help

Yes.. You'll kill your fan and possibly damage the PSU as well if you don't get good air flow..

There are no stupid questions.. Just stupid people.. None of us were born with pc knowledge, we had to learn so don't ever be afraid to ask any question around here.. It's the best way to learn..

Also if you plan to visit and participate here often, I would fill in your system specs VIA the 'User CP' link at the top of this page..

You can install a PSU any way you want, it won't affect anything directly. However, you want to make sure all the fans/vents are getting air. If the Antec 900 doesn't have any opening for air in the bottom of the case then I would face the PSU fan upwards.
