Im hearing EA is really smooth as opposed to latest build, thoughts guys for those of you that are in?

The developer referenced to Oblivion for its graphic requirement on their official OB forum, not me. They further reduced hardware requirement with the retail version.

I have early access but was unable to sign in yesterday afternoon. Apparently, all EA servers are overwhelmed with logins and it could take hundred tries before you can get in sucessfully.

It appears to be the dx10 require SP1 to be installed on Vista. So now I was able to select it from the menu.

I wasnt blaming you, sorry if it came out mean

But dont expect to run AOC on max settings just because you can run Oblivion

At the selectable "High" setting(just auto changes the settings), render distance to max 3500m and 4x aa i get about 30-40fps at 1920x1200 with sig rig, card at 800/1944/1000..
switching from dx9 to dx10 increased performance by about 5fps on average.

the real graphics lag issue im experiencing now is stutter, hopefully that will be fixed in awhile.

People are saying that DX10 is able to be enabled in the menu but doesn't work until the "actual" live date on the 20th, not the "early access" people. This is what my brother was told as I don't play it.

His rig is pretty much identical to mine with the exception of his 780i board and 2 GTS G92's. He's maxed it out with zero lag/stuttering.

Yea he should turn down aa/af and turn up resolution to his native.. it'd look alot better.

Hmm.. I should be able to max the game out easily then with room to spare, assuming the game utilizes SLI.

You do not want to know what some of the beta builds did to my fps, if EA works the way people say it does Ill be going back to native res on retail

In my sig rig with 32bit Vista I get about 25-30 FPS on medium settings and on Dx10 setting. Once I get money from my grad party it will all change, as I will say hello to a new 4870, yes I will be switching sides sadly.

So DX10 actually improves performance in this game? Does the image quality as well? I might have to get Vista when I eventually upgrade my GPU (nothing against vista, I just never had a reason to pay for it and format my computer for it's so far minimal gains. When DX10 starts becoming a good idea I want to )
