Hitting 4Ghz with my E8400...

Thread Starter
...is turning out to be extremely frustrating. I was able to hit 450Mhz x 9 and passed 2 hours of OCCT and 8 hours of Prime95, however running at that FSB resulted in display driver errors. I would randomly get the "display driver stopped working but has recovered" message and any 3D applications or games would cause random blinking or stuttering.

I've also read mixed things about the Ballistix Tracers as well as running 4x1GB, so I decided to try running 2x1GB sticks, which ran fine at 450Mhz FSB without any stuttering.

So I guess my question is whether or not it's possible to hit 4Ghz with 4 memory dimms, and if so, what settings should I be tweaking to get there? Right now I'm running at 425Mhz with my RAM downclocked to 850Mhz (pushing it to 1066Mhz and upping the voltage caused instability). Is there anyone with a similar 4 stick setup who's willing to share their settings?

With 4x1GB sticks, you're putting too much stress on your memory controller, you probably have to increase your NorthBridge voltage.
