[LH] Get Vista's Best Features in XP

Despite the fact that most of you prefer XP to Vista and would rather Microsoft extended XP's shelf-life, several new and improved features available in Vista would be great to have in XP. This new functionality may not be enough to get you to switch to Vista, but that doesn't mean you're out of luck. Let's take a look at a few ways you can incorporate Windows Vista's best features into your current XP PC for free.

We're going to focus on Vista's small and large features that are missing from XP, separated into three categories: applications, functional, and aesthetic (e.g., transparency is aesthetic, the new start menu search is functional). This list is not exhaustive, but it does cover the features readers feel make Vista worth it.

Didn't know there was an XP Version of ReadyBoost/SuperFetch...I installed in on my old computer with a 2GB flash drive; I'll see how it goes.

GOD! I'm sick of XP, I really hope that devs just stop supporting it in new software and just cut XP off from any support what so ever.

when I say i may try it I mean I will if I have time and I never have time so thats that.

I personally feel that vista is smoother OS then XP and i really wish businesses would switch to it already.

still XP has its place on older machines that have not bit the dust yet. and on some other software/hardware that is older yet still top notch stuff ( I am referring to some recoding items I have that only work with XP, not in production anymore so no new support.)

This is a guide on how to get most of the bloat/useless/annoying features from Vista in XP!

Only a few are actually useful, most will bog down the PC for no reason and all around suck.

It makes no mention of how to get Direct X 10 or Superfetch in XP -- pretty much making the existence of the article with its current title, for lack of better words, useless.
