My 8800GT problems are....BACK!

So, here's the problem;

Whenever I first start up a game (Crysis, CoD4, etc.) the game will freeze. Sometimes it'll freeze and that frame will have artifacts (Not normal ones, It'll be stuck at a frame where some walls won't appear, or things are different colors, not randomly colored pixels.) and it'll be stuck at that frame until I ctrl alt Delete, which in Vista causes a menu to open up which allows me to pick things like Lock Computer, Log off, Start Taskman, etc, and of course "Cancel" so when I click cancel it'll go right back to the game. Where it will normally freeze a second time after a few seconds requiring me to do the same thing over, and over again until it finally doesn't happen.

Now, that's only half the problem; I was able to handle that, I could live with it, and have for the past two or so weeks, but recently it has gone as far as freeze, and cause the computer to restart. Which I cannot handle, not when it happens as often as it has been (Three times today?)

What have I done to solve it?;

Change drivers (174.16, 175.16)
Move both RAM sticks to different slots.
Reseat GPU.
Change PCI-E power connectors.
Remove a stick of RAM.
Underclock all GPU clocks.
Overclock GPU farther.
Raise GPU fan.
Add fans under GPU for extra air flow.
Yell at it.
Tell it to just work.
Tell it that everything is fine, just don't let it happen again.

When did this happen?;

When I added my new RAM.

What are my GPU temps?

Anywhere from 48C to 54C idle. 54C right now due to today being rather hot.

I will get load temps, but I'm going to post this first so if my computer has to restart I don't have to type this whole post out again.

Edit: Load is 75C. Ouch, hot.

All in all, what is the main problem? The GPU freezes when it starts to get a load, but once it is on a load it works fine.

So im guessing that it was because if the 8800GT fan speed which was low at the first place,and now it is adjusted to keep it cooler.Which brand of 8800GT did you get?

Nope, the fan speed is fixed at 61%, it has the old reference design. It's a Galaxy, but not the spiral fan one.
