Thread Starter
i just tried to change my fsb from 333 to 500 and set my ram from 800 to 1000 via that utility ASUS AI Suite....
my bios is 0203
now my monitor wont show anything anymore..... and the bios doesnt beep during boot up.. i dont even know if it actually boot up anymore
everything seems to be still working (fans, psu, etc)
i tried to clear RTC RAM by following the procedures on page 2-22 but it didnt work.. (i couldnt continue at step6 which is to setup the bios date back since my monitor still dont work..
i know my monitor isnt broken
i tried pressing DEL and F1 during bootup to see if it was gonna do something (by hearing it) and it didnt seem to do anything... (altho i cant see)

any clue?

Dont tell me i blew everything up :X

That's where you went wrong. Most people go up in 10mhz increments unless they have overclocked it before.

Turn the power off for a few mins, then try again.

Honestly that is all i know how to do. worked for me once though when it seemed i broke it.

im currently retryin to clear the RTC ram for 1hour, but ive tried letting it cool down ad it didnt work
that was such a silly thing to do..

after i pressed APPLY in the AI Suite, my computer froze... i waited a few minutes before resetting it. next boot up, the monitor showed "no signal" and i couldnt hear the bios (Beep) anymore...

Hmm im no expert but i know alittle..Id try to take out the cmos battery for like 30 mins, reset it.Then if it post, then make sure you update your update the bios before trying any OC's. I tried to OC my asus P5K se on stock bios and it crashed hard..had to reset everything then update bios. . Whats the full hardware spec for you r system.500mhz FSB crazy!!!...unless you have a powerfull yCPU and ram to go with it..still that crazy 500mhz FSB..

Unplug the power from the PC, press the power button to bleed out the residual power in the system, and remove the cmos battery. Leave it out overnight and try booting tomorrow.

Yes, i KNOW this is an old thread, BUT..
For people experiencing the same kind of problem, here's another solution that might help you.

If everythings turns on, and your machine doesn't reboot and reset BIOS (assuming you mobo would normally do that if the BIOS was bad ) then it might be your RAM.
If you, like me, have a bunch of power thirsty RAM's in your machine, (Mine was 4 sticks of dominator's) then pull 'em out and put in a more regular stick. if the machine boots up fine and give you an screen, then go to BIOS and set the vDIMM to whatever your sticks need. This worked with mine after i flashed to 0203 BIOS version of my P5E deluxe. have no idea why the new bios version did this, but a low grade ram stick, and done. that did the trick.
I've heard that a few people have the prob, so i thought i would throw my solution in the pile.
