Please help me build for my dad

Thread Starter
I just need a new motherboard, cpu, and video for my dad, for basic office, internet, and multimedia stuff. No gaming. I think I want to go with integrated graphics just to make things easier, if there is a board with decent graphics for the above uses. I would like something that has an HDMI out so we can send movies to the TV, along with audio and optical out to plug into the receiver. I am not against buying a video card so if there is a board that is a good fit along with a separate video card suggestion that's cool too. I had originally thought I was going to go AMD but now I am leaning towards Intel. The AMD board I was looking at was the Gigabyte GA-MA78G-DS3H so something similar for Intel would work great I think. I don't think I need to spend any more than $400 for board/cpu/memory/video. We usually build a new pc every 4-5 years. Could you please offer me suggestions? Thanks for any help!

look at this thread that I started. Its a computer for a family company. I believe it has what you are looking for.

You will need a video card if you want HDMI. Any one with DVI can use an adapter.

a few problems with your build rduffy: that mobo has been replaced with a better version for the same price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128337
a e2180 is $1 more, $1 for 200mhz is worth it.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116052
and $30 more will get you 4GB of GSKILL 1000MHZ

EDIT: i would get the fanless 8400GS for about the same price ($26 after MIR) as the one with the fan
