RC Rock crawling or offroad game?

Thread Starter

I came across some RC Rock crawling videos on youtube. It looks fun as hell...

I was wonder if there is any Rock crawling simulation game available for PC, PS3 or 360? Or any off road game focus on terrain rather than speed?

I dont think Iv ever seen a specific rock crawling game but you might want to try out Screamer 4x4, kinda old but its a pretty good simulator

Anyone on OCN is in RC Rock Crawling and know how much $$ does it cost to get it start (aside from my PC game question)?

It appears to be a decent pre-build RC car for this purpose cost about $800. Maybe another $500 for remote and links?

It is pricey. I don't know very much about RC rock crawling but from wasting some money on my drift car. I can imagine the high cost since most of them require dual high torque servos and dual motors.

I've been in Nitro Offroad 2wd racing for the past 4 years, competitively. It's a very very expensive hobby. RC rock crawling isn't THAT expensive, then things that will cost you the most are some good battery packs and extra motors.

Now, when you step into the nitro world, you're going to be jumping, going fast, crashing into things, etc. Versus rock crawling, where it's just climbing over rocks and such. Nothing too extreme.

There is a RC track for Nitros not far from where I live. But I more into the rock crawler RC... Maybe I will order a kit when my tax rebate arrive.

Agreed. I raced electric 2wd buggy competitively when I was younger and it was just a bottomless pit for money. It all depends on how 'extreme' you get with you rock crawling really..

You guys just reminded me I have a ton of rc stuff sitting somewhere in my shed, time to go look for it and see what I still have
