360GTX Rad placement in my Cosmos S??

I know I'm gonna put the Rad up top but should I place it so that the barbs are right where the CPU will be or where the 5.25" bays are? If I put it where the 5.25" bays are, I basically can't use the top 1-2 bays. Take a look at where I'll be placing my other components and then give me your suggestions.

Keep in mind I need a put my DD Bay Res in and I'd like to put it as high as possible for bleeding purposes. With the tubing coming down right in those bays, I'd have to drop the Bay Res down 3-4 slots.

i would put them so they obstruct the first 2 5 1/2 inch bays. unless you need that many bays, which i doubt. Seems like the only way to me without a load of modding.

Why would I need to do any modding if I switch it the other way around?

...you have me there. I was thinking of it was in my case, which it won't be. Sorry.

If it is going to go from your pump to your rad, or rad to pump then i still think this is the way to go becasue of the distance covered by the tube. But it's your choice.

Yes I'm gonna be going Res > Pump > Rad > CPU Block > GPU Block > Res. But even if I turned my Rad around so that the barbs were right over my CPU block, it would only be a few extra inches of tubing to go from the Pump to the Rad.

yeh i suppose you are right. try positioning it in your case, complete with barbs, and see what looks best. I think either way round will work.

I am going to be doing this soon and I am going to be having it with the barbs nearer CPU because it just makes sense as its easier without modding etc...
