SPLIT: Narrowed it down to two laptops....

Here's the two laptops i've narrowed it down to:
Toshiba Satellite X205-S9810
http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/...164&in_merch=1

Gateway P-172S FX
http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668033.php

They're both almost exactly the same, and I can get the Toshiba for the same exact price as the Gateway on Newegg.
Which one should I go for?

The specs are different. The gateway has the 8800 and the toshiba the 8700, so get the gateway

I would go with the Gateway.

On a graphics card comparison list i looked at, the 8700 and 8800 are ranked almost the same. Also, the toshiba has 6 USB ports as well as a larger hard drive, and gateway's customer service reputation isn't exactly the best right now. Can you guys give me some reasons other than just saying go with the gateway??

The toshiba is ugly

Go ahead. You asked for my opinion and considering they are so close spec wise it can come down to aesthetics

What about gateway's customer service?
the 8800 is like a desktop 9600GT, the 8700 is like a desktop 8600GTS. they might be similar on a chart, but in reality, the 8800 is about 2x the performance of the 8700. ive had a 8600 and 8800 for desktop, and my 3dmark score doubled. plus, you can always get more usb ports or a new HDD, but a new GPU (for a laptop) is a almost impossible upgrade.

GO WITH THE GATEWAY!!!!
