surf the sale threads, and you will be able to pick up decent hardware for cheap.

I have a AMD 3000+ 754 with agp and a 6800 512mb video card i would sell cheap. You will also need a new PSU... Runs ddr1, so your current memory will still work.

Don't spend any more money on your computer. For that same $45 you can have my cpu/mobo cobo that puts you up to the AGP range... I have AGP cards i will give you to hold you over until you find a decent one....
what 6800 is it? vanilla, GS, XT, GT, or Ultra? how much would you sell the card for?

all of the above except DDR1

DDR2 is pretty cheap right now

jumping to pci-e will open up his graphics card options tremendously.

You might even be able to get a bit of an OC out of that celery. Pioneerisloud got his old s478 celery to 4+ghz on stock volts and air on a crappy board

would it be worth it for him to upgrade to the 2400PRO? its only be $45 After MIR: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814131082
and he could probably sell his card for almost that. He plays the Orange Box, CS:S, Bf2, , Halo 1, and some other games that are 3-5 years old. how much performance would he gain? he doesnt have enough $$ for a new system. also, he is planning on getting a 19" LCD. he doesnt watch HD content.

SO....should he do it?

please respond, lol
BIG upgrade, worth every penny for that card lol from the 6200 it's night and day
